The Fashion Design & Technology programme is intensely vocational and will provide you with a skill set that will see you exploring a variety of job possibilities contained in the fashion and apparel industry. The programme aims to prepare you practically for employment and/or self-employment or to prepare you for further academic studies. The indigenous knowledge incorporated into the programme will develop you into a locally-grounded entrepreneur who can contextualise relevant design solutions locally and globally. The Fashion Design & Technology programme aligns with the TUT’s vision and mission of implementing technology, nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship and community engagement throughout your three-year experience, and creating original, resourceful and self-reliant graduates.
